Florence and Eddie
have experienced a lot of changes in their lives recently. First, Eddie retired
from Rheem after I don't know how many decades of loyal service, and then a
couple of years ago, they sold their home on Kenneth and moved to Tinley
Park.
They now live in a lovely two-bedroom
condo with cathedral ceilings, a full-size garage, and a basement for Eddie's
projects. A goose, with a wardrobe that changes at Florence's whim, greets you
at their front door, but the goose isn't nearly as wonderful as the warm
greetings you always get from Flo and Ed.
Florence ('Sissy' to her brothers)
sold their car last year (Florence always sells their cars, 'cause
nobody gets a better price!) and they bought a new car, which they
love. They go to Florida every January for about six weeks, Eddie golfs when he
can, Florence keeps up with her ladies' card club, and they both help baby-sit
their newest grandchildren, Don and Liz's young Donny and the twin girls.
They celebrated their fiftieth
wedding anniversary last year (1999), and we wish them many more years of health
and happiness together.
