Walter passed away on February 22, 2002
Remembrances from the family follow:
WHO WAS WALLY?
He was a husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and great grandfather,
but most of all, he was a friend. To all. He had no enemies, went out of his way
to help anyone. Never got angry unless you trumped his ace in pinochle.
The Lord said "We have room for you, Wally, and I've got the express lane
open. Come join me and the rest of your family we have up here. You've paid your
dues on earth, so now enjoy your time with me."
Personally, Wally taught me how to drive a car, and took me for my driver's
license.
He also brought Janice home from the hospital after she was born. I wouldn't let
him open the windows in the car and it was in the 90s!

Dear Uncle Jerry,
When I think of Uncle Wally this comes to mind: WWJD (What would Jesus Do?).
WWJD--It is something I've seen on signs, bumper stickers,
T-shirts etc. WWJD-- I think that was Uncle Wally's "motto" or
philosophy. By
his example, he showed me & everyone how we are supposed to act. He was such
a gentle man. He was a kind & loving man. I am grateful to have known &
loved him. May he rest in peace.

Dear Jerry,
Thanks for this opportunity to express just a little of what I feel about Wally.
In all the years I've known him, that's 56 years, I've never heard a harsh word
out of his mouth, and seldom heard a negative comment. He was one of the most
gentle, sweetest guys God put on earth.
With love, Jean
Brother Walter, altar boy, seminarian, basketball star, soldier, husband, father, entrepreneur, church
usher, catholic war vet, pinochle pro, nursemaid, etc. The Lord says that your labors are now done. Come
enter into the Kingdom of Heaven and claim your just reward. Amen.

My brother Wally was the kindest and most giving person I have
ever known. He was a good husband, father, and friend to many. He gave a lot in
support of those in need, his children, especially Daryl and Dennis, his Mother,
and many other people.
For the past few years, Lottie and his family took good care of
him before he past peacefully on February 22, 2002.
